You’ve Been Peeling Post-It Notes Wrong…Probably Since You Learned What A Post-It Note Was!

That’s right, you probably suck at peeling off post-it notes. But you know what you’ll be REALLY good at? Learning how to peel them off correctly! Hooray!

Alright, it’s not that exciting and it might not change your life, but it will make your post-it monitor a lot neater. Don’t judge.

Most of us peel off these familiar little squares like this:

We grab the end and yank it upwards after we’ve written something on it without a care in the world. We don’t mind if it’s curly on one end. That’s just how post-it notes are, right?

WRONG! Post-it notes are not meant to be curling monstrosities that clutter up your desk. You’re supposed to pull it off from the side. It doesn’t seem like it, but it’s the best way.

Just look at these two methods side by side! The post-it that has been peeled off neatly sits flat on the desk. The post-it that was mangled is floating off of the desk and will most likely blow away in the wind when Sally from HR turns the air conditioning back on. 3.22a20

Be sure to thank us when you get a raise after your boss looks at your amazing post-it note skills and thinks “wow, I’ve hired a post-it note expert, we definitely have room in the budget for this.” Don’t forget to add it to your resume!

Preferably on a post-it note.
