Woman Searched For Missing Cat And FOUND Him Nearly Two Years Later On A Shelter Website

In 2015, Iris’ 12-year-old cat, Diego, went missing. The old cat was an indoor cat and rarely went outside, but one day, Iris’ father father was visiting and the garage door was left open. Diego sneaked out of the house and promptly became lost.

For an entire year, Iris posted “LOST CAT” signs around town hoping that someone had seen or taken in her precious cat. But even after months and months passed with no word, she never gave up hope.

One day, she was at work and just browsing the internet on her phone when she had a crazy idea…

I was at work and in between patients, I’m a vet tech, something told me to look on animal friends of the valley website which is odd for me. I saw his picture and left work as fast I could.”

While they couldn’t know what Diego had been up to for almost two years, they were incredibly grateful to welcome him back into their home. Iris had children who had given up hope…but when they returned home that day from school, they were ecstatic to find their friend waiting for them!

The moment I saw him I felt indescribable joy, I felt peace and overwhelmed because I knew he wasn’t dead. My intuition always told me he was alive,” Iris said.

Against all odds, they were reunited once more.
