Wedding Cake NIGHTMARE Saved By One Skilled Cake Master! The Results Are STUNNING!

Millicent M. had spent hours baking and decorating her dream wedding cake. She’d rolled the fondant, pressed sugar pearls into patterns, and spent hours crafting pink ombre ruffles onto her cake by hand. She had been so excited, telling her fiance that it would be “so yummy!” Unfortunately, the buttercream icing she had used to hold the cake together gave out over the drive from her home to the hotel. In the heat, the icing simply melted and slid, causing the cake to topple during the trip.

When she arrived at the hotel, the hotel staff took one look at it and said “we’ll see what we can do.”

Millie hoped they could fix it, but in the end…it was just a cake! What mattered the most was that she was going to marry the man of her dreams. Little did she know, her cake would soon be completely transformed!
While out delivering an order of cupcakes, Clare, the owner of Patty’s Piece of Cake, spotted the mangled cake as it was brought into the kitchen. It was already late in the day, but she knew that she could save it! With two of her girls from the shop, she took the cake back to her bakery and got to work.

She couldn’t bake a new cake, but she could salvage the old one (with the help of spare cake from her shop!) and match the colors almost exactly.

With time against me, I just didn’t have time to bake cool and decorate a new middle tier, so thankfully I had a dummy cake which I used to create the new middle tier. I managed to near enough color match the pink to the original cake too which was a bonus. The top tier (a delicious smelling Lemon cake) thankfully I could save. So I stripped it back down, crumbcoated and re-covered in white.” She wrote.

Then, she cleaned off each individual ruffle from the bottom and washed the ribbon. In the end, the cake was saved!
The hotel passed on the Millie’s “cake saving” fee to Clare for all of her hard work!
