Festive decorations and spooky lighting make Halloween a time to show off your creepy-crawling skills, with bats and spiders and skeletons galore! While they may not be practical for everyday use, Halloween lighting transforms an ordinary front porch into a sinister space…and making it at home is as easy as 1, 2, 3! This DIY is easy to do, and best of all, it won’t cost you a fortune!
What you’ll need for this project depends on what you want the finished product to look like (and what you have lying around).
- A few empty jars, washed and dried.
- Frosted glass spray paint
- Embellishments (stickers, letters, plastic spiders, etc)
- Flameless or real tea lights
Place your stickers firmly onto the glass, making sure to remove any air pockets! Remove any fingerprints with a soft cloth before painting.
Paint the jars with the spray paint and wait for them to dry completely. Once they’ve dried, peel off the stickers to reveal your design! Now you can add your decorations! If you’re using real candles, leave the lid off of your jars. If you’re using battery-powered candles, decorate the lids as well! These are easy to make and will make your walkway, porch, or front room look EXTRA spooky during Halloween! How many will you make this season? We love this idea because you can use any jars and any designs, and most of the items are already on hand! Do you love idea, or do you think it needs some work? You can find more details here!
