Single parents just do not get enough credit. At all. If you aren’t a single parent, take a second to think about all of the things your “other half” does for the kids, or the chores they do around the house. Putting away the groceries takes twice as long, and there’s no one to finish folding that last load of laundry while you give the kids their bath. The workload doubles at home, and between running errands and a full-time job, it’s a wonder that single parents find the time to get a full night’s sleep! If that isn’t enough to convince you that they deserve more recognition, this next story might.
As a single dad, I took my six year old daughter out to valentines dinner tonight when this happened. I wont lie, I teared up at the table. So, thank you random strangers.
Sorry to spy, but my husband and I saw you out with your little date and were so impressed with what a great Dad you are.
From two adults who grew up without dads, it’s so important to have a male role model at a young age.

Valentine’s Day is about spending quality time with the one that you love most in the world! For this dedicated dad, that was his 6-year-old daughter, who loves him just as much! He was trying to be a good role model for his daughter. He was showing her how to treat people, and how much she is loved. This is too sweet!
