Every so often, we come across a story that really hits home. This is one of those stories that had me crying by the end of it because it’s just so relatable. You can apply this to anyone and everyone, and it’s so accurate that it hurts. I felt this way after a fairly significant loss in my life, and if someone had asked me to explain it, I wouldn’t have ever come up with such a perfect description.
This started when someone posted this on an online forum:
“My friend just died. I don’t know what to do.”
Out of nowhere, an old soul decided to add in their “two cents,” but had no idea that it would spread so quickly from community to community, helping people to understand loss in a way they might not have been able to before. This is incredible.
While hundreds of people responded to the original thread (which has since been deleted) no one answer came as close to this one, and in reality, it was exactly what everyone needed to hear. There is no answer, only the explanation that grieving can take a lifetime, but the journey of loving and losing is what helps us all to make it just one more second, one more hour, and one more day. This is what makes us human.
