This Little Girl Sent A Letter To Google As A Job Application. They Responded!

While most 7-year-old kids have fantastic dreams like being an astronaut or rock star when they grow up, Chloe Bridgewater just thought to herself…why wait? She has a few career goals in mind: Chocolatier, Olympic Swimmer, and working for Google! She decided to sit down and write out her job application and send it in the mail. It was the second letter that she has ever written (the first being to Santa Claus) and amazingly, Google’s CEO replied. After seeing pictures of the Google office that show the place employees can spend time to find motivation, Chloe was hooked. Go Karts, bean bags, and fun activities keep employees happy and productive, and she wanted to be a part of that! I wasn’t a generic letter sent out in response to a job application…the CEO himself sat down to type out this reply! Transcribed below:

Dear Chloe,” reads the letter. “Thank you so much for your letter. I’m glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to – from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! : )

All the best to you and your family, Sundar Pichai, CEO”

She’s definitely on the right track! A few more years and she’ll be doing her dream job at a company that knows how to make employees happy!
