This Is What It Means To “Hose” A Car Parked In Front Of A Fire Hydrant!

While the following even happened in 2013, it is going viral yet again as people remind each other what happens when you break the law!

Most people know not to park in front of a fire hydrant. If there is an emergency and firefighters need access to water from a fire hydrant, it doesn’t matter what is sitting in the way…even if it happens to be a car! Fire fighters must get water, and to do that when a car is parked in front of a hydrant means that they must break the windows in order to attach their hose. 11-14a17

In this photo, they pulled the hose directly through the front windows in order to reach the hydrant. If there is even one bend in the hose, it can cut the water supply and lower the water pressure needed to fight off a fire.

A business nearby was on fire, and fire fighters needed to stop it as soon as possible. The car, unfortunately, was in the way.

Some people were amazed to see why it isn’t wise to park in front of a hydrant, and others were wondering why this car hadn’t been towed instead.

There isn’t time to wait for a tow truck to arrive and remove a car. Drastic measures must be taken…at the cost of the vehicle’s owner!

People are always confused and angry when they find their cars damaged by fire fighters…but if they are illegally parked in front of a fire hydrant, there isn’t much that fire fighters can do!
