This restaurant owner met a homeless man who was begging for change. He was tired and hungry and just wanted something to eat. He wasn’t able to get a job due to mistakes in his past and it put him in a very rough place. Many people are criticizing this woman for her decision. Read her story, and see if you agree!
He came in to the cafe one day asking me for some money. I looked at him and asked him, “why don’t you have a job, you know nothing is given for free right?”
“Well, I have a lot of felonies and no one wants to hire me, so now I have to turn myself to the streets and get money the only way I know; stealing and asking for money.” He answered.
I was short staff that day so I asked him, “You want to work? I have a job for you!”
His eyes opened wide and his smile made my day!
He said, “I’ll do anything for some food.”
So now for almost 2 weeks he been on time for his two-hour shift! Helping take trash out, washing dishes etc.
Once I pay him, guess what he does? He buys food from my restaurant.
Do something nice for someone today and don’t judge them just because they out there asking for money because we dont know their situation. Some people deserve another shot. God gave me this blessing, so why can’t I bless others? GOODMORNING WORLD! We want change? Well, start by making one.

Many people commented and wanted to know how she could take his hard-earned money by making him pay for his food. She wanted everyone to know that he didn’t take the money that he earned to spend it on “drugs or booze” as most people would assume. He purchased food from her restaurant (at a discount, of course) and continues to work there week after week! She can’t afford to hire him full-time, but she helps the homeless when she can. He isn’t the first person that she has helped, and he won’t be the last.
She’s right. If we want the world to change, we have to change it. It’s hard, but it can be done! One good deed at a time!
