Real trees, artificial trees, tress painted on the wall, trees made out of gifts, or trees made out of tinsel…when it comes to celebrating the holidays with a jovial Christmas tree, people have come up with just about everything. And it turns out, we’ve found what is probably the most amazing what to create a Christmas tree out of thin air – literally.
By hanging a grate from the ceiling, the genius behind Not Martha has fabricated a holiday decoration with suspended ornaments. The illusion of a tree is so stunning, and we are in love! The view from underneath the “tree” is pure wonder. You can see the circular pattern that she used quite clearly, and the different shades and textures on the ornaments gives it more depth than expected. A tree made of out of only shiny ornaments probably wouldn’t look as incredible.Hanging from the ceiling, the tree takes shape above neatly wrapped gifts. No twinkling lights, no ornaments, no garland or tinsel. Just a tree. Broken down into its simplest form, it is a thing of beauty. She made this tree using a clever method to map out the ornaments and measure out the amount of wire she would need, finally assembling it to create this stunning display.
