Anthony Yorfido was beyond excited when he found out that Aerosmith, a band, would be performing in his hometown of Welland, Ontario. His mother tried to get tickets, but they were sold out almost as soon as they went on sale. Yorfido was devastated but knew that there was nothing to be done. Disappointed, he went on with his life.
Everything changed on the day of the show.
He was out with his mother running errands. They walked into a medical supply store, but were shocked when the lead singer of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, was in that same store looking for a back brace. Yorfido’s mom recognized him at once, but told reporters “I’m looking at him and I know his face, but I couldn’t think of his name.”
Her son recognized him instantly, but hesitated and made sure it was him!
Oh, my God! Steven Tyler, is that you?”
It was, and mom was quick to capture the biggest hug that Yorfido had ever given to anyone in his life! The singer even posed for a picture, too! After giving a hug to mom as well, he asked if they would be at the show later that night.
When mom told him that she wasn’t able to get tickets, he told her not to worry! He would be giving them backstage passes…but that’s not all he had planned for this lucky fan.
Yorfido found himself on stage during the concert! What a lucky turn of events! He will definitely remember this for the rest of his life!
