This Dragon Fly Just Taught Millions Of Women A New Tactic For Avoiding Jerks

Female dragonflies have been observed using a new tactic to avoid males that they don’t like, and women are relating to it in spectacular fashion. The researchers at the University of Zurich in Switzerland witnessed a female moorland hawker dragonfly suddenly stop flying and crash land on the ground. Out of nowhere, she just plummeted, laying on her back and staying completely still after being pursued by a male dragonfly.

She didn’t like him and decided that potential death was better than being harassed, dropping to the ground instantly, risking injury in the process.

According to Rassim Khelifa, the researcher, he was shocked by the behavior. He witnessed 27 females attempt to play dead, but only 21 were successful in ditching the males. In the ten years he had been studying dragonflies, he had never seen anything like it.

Women on Twitter, however, were not shocked one bit.
Women often resort to dramatic antics to avoid being harassed by unwanted attention, making up emergencies situations or pretending to be in a relationship with their friends to get a guy to leave.

But now, they have a new tactic to try.

Will it work? Who knows, but if nothing else does, maybe it’s worth a try. At the very least, they’ll think you are nuts for falling dramatically to the floor.
