Don’t spend hours making a complicated dish to bring to a party. Who has the patience to make a 9-layer dip, or spend all afternoon making baklava by hand? Not me! This easy, savory recipe calls for a loaf of bread (it doesn’t even have to be fresh) and whatever you’ve got taking up space in your fridge!
It all starts with a thick loaf of bread. The secret is to cut a checker board pattern into the loaf to create “squares” roughly an inch and a half thick! You don’t slice all the way to the bottom of the bread, either. Just leave about an inch at the bottom as well.
Line a baking tin with foil and place the loaf inside.
Next mix five tablespoons of melted butter with a tablespoon of ranch seasoning mix and pour it all over the bread. Then, stuff shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, jalapenos, and green onions! If you’ve got anything else that sounds like it would go well in your giant loaf of goodness, stuff it in, too!
Cover the whole thing with foil and bake it for 15 minutes! You’re basically toasting the bread and melting the cheese – this part is too easy!When you’re done, you’re left with a delicious and totally-not-healthy-for-you-at-all appetizer that might end up being a full meal if you’re not careful.
