This Boss Arranged For Flowers To Be Delivered To The Office. AFTER She Died. Best Boss EVER.

Several months before her passing, Gayle started getting her affairs in order. It was a terminal illness and she couldn’t avoid facing the reality that in just a few short months, she wouldn’t be around anymore.

Death has a way of putting everything into perspective for those of us who witness the passing of others. We know that our time in the world is short. We know that eventually, we will pass on as well. And we know that eventually, everyone else will follow us. But somehow we are able to put that finality in the back of our minds and keep on moving forward. We still make plans and meet new people and hope and dream…even knowing what looms in the future.

That’s why this bouquet of flowers from their previous boss has the internet scrambling. Death is “taboo” to many, but the way Gayle handled her own passing is inspiring.9-12a5

Gayle knew that she wouldn’t live to see her next birthday, and she knew that her colleagues at work would end up seeing it on the calendar and mourning for her. But she didn’t want them to focus on the fact that she was gone. She wanted them to remember her the way she lived (foul language and all) and to let them know how they impacted her life.

It has others contemplating their own ends. Many of us won’t be lucky enough to prepare for the end. One comment said that they were inspired to sit down and write a letter to everyone in their family, and if they weren’t dead by the same time, they would write another and another, year after year until the end. When they passed, their loved ones would have something to hold on to, and we can thank Gayle for that.
