Looking for another way to celebrate the holidays without spending a fortune? This clever little DIY project is easy, cheap, and fun! Make your holiday dinner even more festive with these cute little chair covers.
By using bright red felt, you’ll keep the costs down, and there isn’t too much sewing involved because felt doesn’t need to be hemmed.
The first step is to measure your chairs at the widest part and decide how long you’ll want the chair covers. You’ll cut the shapes out, leaving a large triangle to fold over as the “hat.” See a more detailed tutorial here. Sew along the dotted lines with the right sides together. Trim off any excess and flip them inside-out.Another important feature is the pom pom! Tie thin strips of felt together to create a puff for the chair’s hat! Attach the pom poms to the triangular piece hanging over the back of the chair and get ready for the cries of laughter that will ensue when the kids come downstairs for breakfast!
This quick DIY project is a fun way to bring the magic on Christmas morning! You can find more details about this project here! Too fun!
