When do you actually start planning your Halloween costume? If you’re anything like me, you’re waiting until the day before Halloween to rummage through the leftover costumes in the bargain bin at that pop-up costume shop around the corner on the way home from work. This usually means that literally zero thought goes into the rest of the “look,” and that includes my dog. However, after coming across a ton of really cute dog costumes…I noticed that there were some that weren’t actually that complicated. They were so easy that they could be done in about 10 minutes.
All you need is a dog. And maybe some glue.
“Business Dog.” Take an old tie and stick it onto your pup’s collar with a safety pin. Genius.“Watch Dogs.” It’s a poorly-drawn clock stuck to a dog. You could probably get away with safety pinning it to their collar for at least one picture to share on Facebook before he eats it. “Hairy Potter.” Grab some circle-lens reading glasses and pop the lenses out. Find a striped scarf. Done.“Beanie Puppy.” Do you have a color printer? If not, do you have a crayon and some imagination? Perfect. Now you have a one-of-a-kind collectible. “E.T. Extra Terrieresteral.” Yes, I know this is a picture of a French Bulldog but just go with it. White sheet. Milk crate. Cute dog.I’m leaning towards that E.T. costume. It’s just too easy!
