She Was Injured In The Columbine Shootings, But What She Wrote To The Shooter’s Mother Is INCREDIBLE!

Anne Marie Hochhalter shocked thousands of people when she wrote this open letter to Sue Klebold, the mother of one of the shooters at Columbine High School in 1999. She was injured during the shooting and sustained an injury to her spinal cord that has kept her in a wheelchair. Because of her injuries, people were shocked and a bit confused as to how and why she could openly forgive the mother of the boy who changed her life forever. She explains herself in chilling detail…and has people everywhere amazed at her strength and determination in the face of such a difficult journey.

Just as I wouldn’t want to be judged by the sins of my family members, I hold you in that same regard.”2.16e2

The responses from the public have been both positive and negative, wondering why Sue Klebold even needs forgiveness in the first place since it was herĀ sonĀ that caused so much pain and heartache, while some praise her for recognizing the need of his family for that forgiveness to help them heal and move on. There are a lot of “what if’s” that pop up after an event so tragic, and Anne Marie has realized that the dwelling doesn’t change the future…but it can help to heal a very painful wound. This is a unique gesture that should be appreciated for being honest and open. And it’s beautiful.
