Cailey Fiesel was shopping in Greenwich, Connecticut and purchased two dresses from the Spanish clothing line, Zara. She hung the dresses up in her closet after getting home but didn’t touch them for two more weeks. That’s when things got strange.
She pushed her other clothes aside and noticed a “disturbingly pungent odor,” but couldn’t find the source. She put the dress on and went about her day, but the smell just wouldn’t leave her.
Latre in the day, she felt something bothering her against her leg and assumed it was a loose piece of string. When she reached down to yank it off, she felt a strange bulge in the seam of the dress.
To her utter shock and disbelief, as she ran her hand over the hem of the dress she felt an unusual bulge and suddenly realized that it was not a string that was rubbing against her leg but was instead a leg rubbing against her leg,” the complaint states. “The leg of a dead rodent that is.”
She took this picture as proof, showing that the rodent had been sewn into the hem of the dress.
She immediately ran to remove the dress to discover a 2.5 inch long mouse that was fairly well decayed.
I froze — I was paralyzed with fear,” she said. “I was in complete shock. My eyes saw that it was a mouse but my brain told myself ‘it can’t be.’ ”
Even after wearing the dress for a few hours, she still ended up with a rodent-born rash. She decided to file a lawsuit against the company.
Zara is aware of the suit and is investigating…Yikes!
