Throwing a party or hosting a gathering (like a book club or small group) can be a little stressful. With all of the cleaning that has to happen before guests start arriving, it’s no surprise that sometimes the menu gets pushed onto the back burner. Why not make something unique and easy? This next idea turns provided snacks into an awesome do-it-yourself experience that is surprisingly simple. All you have to do is open a bunch of bags.
In a few clear class jars, pour in a half bag of different melting chocolates! If you want to keep it really simple, you can stick to white chocolate and milk chocolate, but a few more jars will give your guests more variety. Fill your crock pot with a few inches of water and place the glass jars into the water. Turn it on low a while before your guests are to arrive and make yourself busy doing any last minute preparations that you need to get done. Stir the chocolate every once in a while to keep it from clumping up or sticking to the sides.Once all of the chocolates are melted, add some long spoons or plastic utensils. Now all that’s left to do is set out different items out in bowls. Pretzels, marshmallows, strawberries, chips, pineapples, it’s basically a fondue fountain but without all of the hassle. Congratulations, you are now the absolute best when it comes to party snacks!
This is a great way to melt different kinds of chocolate all at once, too. Who has time to double-boil multiple pots to melt chocolate that will just cool off by the time you need to use them to decorate? No one, that’s who. This idea is genius.
