One Of These Girls Was Sent Home For A Dress Code Violation, And People Are ANGRY!

Melissa Barber received a disturbing call from her daughter’s school about a “dress code violation” and was being asked to meet with the principal, the counselor, and her daughter. Barber was confused. Her daughter had worn an outfit that covered her nearly from head to toe and followed the dress code…but when she was told why her daughter had been singled out in front of her class, she saw red.

Kelsey Barber’s teacher told her to go to the office because her outfit was breaking the dress code. When Kelsey protested, the teacher told her that “bustier women need to wear clothing that covers their cleavage. Plus sized women need to dress accordingly.”

The school’s male principal defended the teacher by saying they’d never had a problem with the teacher in the past…and Barber was not having it!

My daughter has just been called “Busty” and “Plus Size” in front of the entire class…

I began explaining that my daughter was just sexualized by her teacher in front of the whole class. She was embarrassed and horrified. She requested to be removed from the teachers class. He said no. He continued to defend the teacher. I could see we were getting nowhere. I was close to loosing my temper. I took my daughter by the hand and we left. I refuse to put my daughter in a situation where her self esteem is completely destroyed. She is there to learn. This whole time she was missing out on an education while we were all sitting in a room discussing her boobs. How often does this happen to your sons?”

To make matters worse, when they got home, they came across Kelsey’s classmate who hadn’t been targeted for a dress code violation.

Barber has since met with a lawyer and is going after the school with everything that she can, and more parents came forward after experiencing similar problems with the school’s principal and have decided to join her.
