Man’s “Passive Aggressive Art Gallery” Featuring His Roommate Is Too Relatable For Comfort

Justin Cousson is a comedian from Los Angeles who found himself getting increasingly aggravated with his roommate’s lack of courtesy. We have no idea if he had previously tried to talk to his roommate before resorting to this level of passive aggressive artistry, but we like to think that it was a “last straw” sort of thing.

He created descriptions of the “artwork,” and even assigned prices before snapping pictures and posting them online. From a used cheese knife left on the counter to a pair of shoes left within two feet of the shoe rack, his pettiness grew until he was adding background information to each piece.

SOUR CREAM COVERED SPOON, LEFT IN SINK BEFORE LEAVING TOWN FOR FOUR DAYS” mixed media, 2017. $3,400.

KNIFE LEFT OUT ON COUNTER IN STRIKING DISTANCE OF KNIFE BLOCK, HAVING BEEN ONLY USED TO REMOVE SEAL OF ICE CREAM CARTON, WHICH WAS ALSO LEFT ON COUNTER, LEAVING QUITE THE SIGHT AS THE LAST THING I SAW BEFORE I GRATEFULLY LEFT TOWN FOR TWO WEEKS” mixed-media, 2017.

FORGOTTEN MILK, LEFT TO ACTIVELY GO RANCID IN FRIDGE FAR BEYOND SELL-BY DATE”¬†mixed-media, (plastic and animal by-products) 2017.¬†What really made people laugh was that the descriptions could easily let them inside the mind of the “artist.” Many more were sharing their own experiences with “artists” for roommates who just didn’t bother to pick up after themselves. What would you do if your roommate started creating little tags for items you happened to leave out?
