Hunter Jobbins was making a quick stop in front of the college dorms. He parked his car and didn’t lock it – he would only be like, ten minutes anyway – while running inside. At Kansas State University, apparently it isn’t that big of a deal to leave your car unlocked. Theft isn’t a huge problem on campus, and Jobbins didn’t think twice about it…
Until he returned and found a suspicious napkin in his car.
Saw Kit-Kat in your cup holder. I love Kit-Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked. Did not take anything other than the Kit-Kat. I am sorry and hungry.” The anonymous thief wrote.
Jobbins posted the ridiculous note on Twitter, and Kit-Kat responded once the post went viral! They contacted Jobbins and told him that they would replace the stolen Kit-Kat. While they don’t condone “kit-napping,” they are planning to work with Jobbins to hand out 6,500 candies on campus to help prevent further Kit-Kat theft!
The public is wondering if the Kit-Kat thief will be able to resist the call of free Kit-Kats, or if he only enjoys stolen candies…who knows! For now, the hilarious break in is making everyone laugh, and Jobbins hopes that his story will remind others to lock their doors.
Protect the Kit-Kats!
