Family vacations can sometimes be stressful. Dealing with travel arrangements, hotel rooms, budgeting meals, and keeping track of who wants to do what activities can feel like trying to run a circus. My favorite part of family vacations? The moment that I step back into my own house and crash onto my own bed. I love my kids, but vacations are stressful. I can’t imagine adding in having a child with disabilities into that mix. I have a lot of respect for this man and his story. It is really amazing!
A little bit of kindness really does go a long way. This man was struggling to keep himself together, and when anyone on that bus could have made his day so much worse by provoking the child or saying something hurtful to the dad, one man showed concern and care. It changed this dad’s outlook and gave him the strength to get his kid to a safe place. When I see a child acting out in public, it can be hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. Who knows, tomorrow, it may be me in the grocery store with a wailing child! This man deserves a round of applause!
