High School Student Saw Elderly Woman Struggling And Jumped Out Of The Car To Help Her Shop

Connie Belle Jenkins Sweet was running an errand at the local dollar shop with her nephew, Senquavious Driver, when he suddenly told her that he needed to get out of the car. He spotted an elderly woman who was having trouble standing up out of her car. She had nearly fallen over and could barely walk but was still trying to make it onto the sidewalk.

He immediately rushed to help the woman and took the time to help her shop. When he was done, he helped her down off of the sidewalk and back into her car.

She was only going in for a soda, but she barely could even get in the store.” Sweet commented.

The older woman told the boy that she was 81 years old and had recently fallen, sustaining injuries to her back and face.

I was in tears taking pictures because he didn’t hesitate to help her, and that made my heart happy,” Sweet told us. “I’m so proud of him because I know and love the lady that raised him, my sissy.” Sweet said.

Many people agreed that the boy has a heart of gold.

This sweet lady is a long time customer at my store. She comes in almost every day to buy sweets and goodies for the children in her neighborhood. Sometimes 3 and 4 times a day.. she will say.. ‘¬†they ate them all up so I had to get some more!’She’s such a sweet soul and very deserving of that sweet young gentleman’s help.”

Others wonder if she should be driving on her own and hope that this story will allow other people in her community to drive her to the places she needs to go while she recovers from her injuries. What do you think of this story?
