Hanging beautiful and classic works of art in your home has become standard practice among many. Making a home feel inviting, interesting, or sometimes even just less plain, people have begun to order works of art online. Printed onto fabrics, canvases, poster board, or paper, they hang their art with pride…all except for a guy named Jimmy.
You see, Jimmy thought that he was ordering a screen print of a famous work of art known as The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by the artist Hokusai sometime in the early 1830s. The captivating image has been widely circulated for nearly 200 years, but it seemed that someone took what was meant to be a very somber piece of artistry and gave it a little makeover.
The wave wasn’t made of water…This wave was made up of adorable, gigantic pug puppies.
Going for a swim, terrorizing the nearby village, and threatening to destroy local fishing boats, these adventurous pug puppies were off on a mission to swim. We guess.
Jimmy hadn’t paid close enough attention to his order, and when the “Great Wave Of Pugs” arrived, he was not amused. Everyone else was, though!
The image was posted on Twitter where it received thousands of likes and comments and shares! Who wouldn’t want a wave of pugs on their living room wall?! Too funny!
