He Son Was SWEARING At His Homework And Mom Blamed The Teacher!! …At first.

Some of the things we catch our kids saying can really shock us. When I first heard one of my kids use a curse word, two thoughts raced through my brain: 1.) WHERE did he learn that phrase?! and 2.) WHERE DID HE LEARN THAT PHRASE?! I was so careful to keep our home swear-free for as long as possible…to hear him say something so outrageous drove me nuts. I can only imagine what this mom was thinking when she overheard her kid saying THIS in his room!! WARNING: language.

Little Billy was at home doing his math homework. It was a little later than usual, but he had eaten his afternoon snack and should have finished his homework by now. His mother decided to check on him and see if she could help to hurry things along before dinner time.

He was deep in conversation and said to himself, “two plus five, that son-of-a-b*tch is seven. Three plus six, that son-of-a-b*tch is nine.”

In that moment, his mother comes in and hears what he is saying. “Billy, what are you doing? Why are you saying that?”

Little Billy answered, “I’m doing my math homework, Mom.”

She said, “And is that what your teacher taught you?”

He replied, “Yes.”

The next day, the mother, worried about the education her son is receiving, goes to Little Billy’s school to talk to the teacher. The mother said to his math teacher, “I would like to know what you are teaching my son in math?”

The teacher replied, “Right now, we are learning addition problems.” Billy’s mother asked, “And are you teaching them to say two plus two, that son-of-a-b*tch is four?” When the teacher stopped laughing she replied…

“Not at all! What I taught them was two plus two, THE SUM OF WHICH IS four.”

This poor mom! Obviously, he didn’t learn this language from his teacher, but he had obviously heard it somewhere! All he needed was to misunderstand the teacher and the concept of addition was completely lost on him. What’s a kid to do but fill in the blanks himself? Kids sure are sneaky. I wonder where he learned this phrase!
