One day, you’ll face the consequences of your actions. Some people call it “karma,” others will say things like “you reap what you sow,” but what it all boils down to is whether or not you want to be a good person. When you’re nice and considerate to the people around you, good things tend to happen. When you’re a bad person, bad things tend to follow you like a bad smell. Usually. For a guy named Larry, these consequences came in the form of total embarrassment at the hands of a young kid! Poor Larry…
A college pizza delivery boy arrived at the house of Larry Johnson. He delivered the pizza to his trailer. After giving it to him, Larry paused before giving the kid any change.
“What is the usual tip?” He asked, his hand still on his wallet.
“Well,” replied the youth, “this is my first trip here, but the other guys say if I get a quarter out of you, I’ll be doing great.”
“Is that so?” snorted Larry, appalled that he had been outed as a bad tipper. “Well, just to show them how wrong they are, here’s five dollars.”
“Thanks,” the kid said, smiling. “I’ll put this in my school fund.”
“What are you studying in school?” asked Larry.
The kid smiled and just answered with two words: “Applied psychology.”
This kid saw right through the stingy old man to the ego that lay just beneath the surface. Larry didn’t like to tip, but Larry didn’t like to be called names even more! Remember ladies and gentlemen, tip the guys who drive through the traffic and bad weather to bring you your dinner!
