For 15 years, Arthur Boorman believed that he would never walk unassisted again. The doctors told him that it was impossible, and he had given up hope that he would ever have a normal life again.
Until one day, he happened to read an article about a certain way of doing yoga that was possible for him to do even with his disabilities. Traditional exercises required strength that he didn’t have, but these modified poses were something that he was willing to do. He sent an email to Diamond Dallas Page and explained his story, along with these pictures.The exercises weren’t just hard – they were nearly impossible. But each time he fell, he got right back up again.

In 6 months, he had lost 100 pounds.
In 10 months, he was not only walking, but running. The doctors had told him that it was impossible, and he wishes that he hadn’t listened to them 15 years ago.Now, he hopes that by sharing his story, he will inspire others to do the same. Not only did he lose weight, he gained balance, flexibility, and the ability to walk again. He didn’t let excuses get in the way of his happiness, and he hopes that you might learn from his struggles and live up to your own potential.
