Myles Eckert wants to buy a video game from the 20-dollar bill he picked at the parking lot of Cracker Barrel. But instead, he chooses to do something nobody will ever expect. He hands the money to a soldier inside the grocery store in Ohio and says thank you through a short letter.
This incredible gesture from the little boy left Lt. Col. Frank Dailey, the soldier who received the note, extremely surprised. He says he looks at it every day, and he’s reminded of the duty he has chosen for the people. The message was way greater than the money he received. And for that, he’s very thankful.
After seeing the video, people showed their support to Myles by giving back his $20. But instead of taking the money, he and his mother directed the donations to Snowball Express, a charity that provides financial aid to children like Myles who’ve lost their parents because of war.
