There is a saying:
I don’t care how tough you are.
If a toddler hands you their ringing toy phone, you answer it.”
Kids are our future, and unless they are acting really terrible, we will go out of our way to accommodate them. We don’t want to spoil their innocence. We want them to believe in magic, in the tooth fairy and Saturday morning cartoons.
When a 6-year-old girl exclaimed, “ELSA!” in the crowded convention hall, Carrie Marie didn’t realize that the girl was excitedly pointing at her. But once the child’s mother came up to her and asked if her daughter could take a picture, she understood what was happening.
She was happy to let these little angels believe she was Queen Elsa from the movie Frozen, and not Queen Daenerys Targaryan from the hit TV show Game of Thrones.Putting on her best “Disney princess” smile, she obliged and talked to the girl, asking a few polite questions.
These children are too young to know about the television show, so of course they associated her long white hair and blue dress to the queen who can turn anything into ice and snow! She wrote a short description of the entire afternoon on her account, and it quickly went viral!
Her costume is a gorgeous copy of the character’s in Game of Thrones, but if little kids continue to mistake her for the ice queen, she’s always happy to quote the movie and pose for a picture…she just might not sing the song!
