60 Years Ago, A Father Wrote A Letter To His Daughter On Christmas. Now, His Grandson Is Sharing The Wisdom With Everyone!

Writing letters and notes to one another is not as popular as it used to be. Why spend an hour penning a letter…when you could write it out, use spell-check, and put it directly into the recipient’s email in just a few minutes? We don’t have as much time as we used to. It seems like there’s always somewhere to be, something to watch, or someone to meet whenever we get even an ounce of free time…and maybe that is why this picture is going viral.

Dear Daughter,

Everyone lives by habit, either good or bad; therefore, strive to establish the good habit attitude, then you won’t have to break the bad.

Your father,

He gave this note to his daughter when she was only a few years old on a special holiday, and she kept it until well after his death. His words are inspirational, and it really emphasizes the value attached to a hand-written sentiment. It would have been nice to receive as a text message, but this is just so much more personal.

Not only did he take the time to write this note, he used a semi-colon correctly. AND he took the time to add in a “dad joke.” Impressive.
