When he spotted a tattered cardboard box sitting alone on one of the seats of his bus, the driver immediately called the bus company for guidance. Then, he noticed that something was alive in the box! It turned out to be three small kittens, left by some heartless person who didn’t want to deal with them any longer.
He called the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) for help, and they immediately sent a volunteer out to help!
The kittens, it turned out, were much to young to have been taken from their mother. As soon as the animals realized that a human was nearby, they began to mew and cuddle up as close as they could get. They were taken to a trusted veterinarian and looked after by the nurses. Since they were so young, they would need constant care until they could be fed solid food and be left alone for more than a few minutes at a time.
It would be a lot of work, but the volunteers and staff knew that it would be worth it. The three little tuxedo kitties serve as a reminder to pet owners about the responsibility that they have when they take in an animal, especially when it comes to spaying and neutering if they don’t have the time to care for kittens and puppies.
The kittens are all doing well, and should be up for adoption in the next few weeks!
