She was out with her son grabbing a quick bite to eat when her son noticed something about the car in front of them that made him get out in the drive-thru!
Tara Parker Routzong had decided to grab Chick-Fil-A with her son while they chatted about this and that. When the subject of hurricane Irma came up, they had talked about where it would hit and how the people who lived there would cope with the storm, especially after what had just happened with hurricane Harvey. That’s when her son looked up and realized that the car in front of them was sporting a Florida license plate.
Mom, we have to pay for their meal.” He told her suddenly.
She was proud of him for thinking of others and agreed…
But how do you pay for the car in front of you?? You run toward their window with a debit card in hand and scare the mess out of them,” she wrote.
They had a short conversation with the man afterwards when he pulled up to say thank you after getting his meal.They learned that the man had evacuated from his home in Miami and was just passing through their area to stay with family in Georgia. They wished him well and hoped his home would remain untouched during the storm.
I often feel like I’m failing because I can’t do it all, all the time and then things like this happen and remind me that I don’t have to. My most important job is going just fine.” She wrote.
The most important things in life can’t be measured.
